Setup

PLEASE NOTE!  If you enable the sales breakups then when you create a new job then you MUST have created the breakup options listed below, otherwise you will not be able to create new jobs

To start from the CostManager main screen,  click on Settings - Global Settings (Setup - Company Setup in v12/v14)

Click on Switches

In the centre section is the Breakup switches area

Breakup 1 (switch 13)

Use this for general sales breakup: ie zone or similar
To enable set to "Y" (you can type a short meaningful name in the "Breakup name" box

Breakup 2 (switch 16)

You can use this in a similar method to breakup1 or if you wish to use the Reports - Quote Reports correctly then this should be enabled
To enable set to "Y" (you can type a short meaningful name in the "Breakup name" box)

Breakup 3 (switch 79)

You can use this in a similar method to breakup1 but this breakup is mainly designed for how you got the job: ie Yellow Pages,  Internet Website,  Phone etc.  It is useful to ascertain if your advertising methods are working well enough for the cost.
To enable set to "Y" (you can type a short meaningful name in the "Breakup name" box)

Once you have setup the switches and titles it is time to setup how we want to split up each breakup

Click on the Settings - Setup Jobs and Rates (Setup - Jobs and Rates in v12/v14)

Click on each breakup named above in turn to setup (if the tab is blank, it means it hasn't been named ,  if it isn't present it means the switch is not enabled)
