Overview - Breakups - Splitting Sales by area,  supervisor or any other method

In CostManager we have a method of "breaking up" sales by category. Break ups are "Job related" not "Client related", meaning that each job can have it's own break up particular to that job. Because the system is freeform the categories in Breakups 1 and 2 are only limited by the users imagination. Breakup 3 however is designed to be more aligned towards the method that the customer found you.
To set up break ups, you first need to turn the switches to  Y. Break up - SW(13), Break up 1 - SW(16) & Break up 2  - SW(79).
These switches can be found under Other - Settings - Global settings - Switches.

Once the switches have been changed to Y. Then you need to go to Settings - Setup Jobs & Rates.
In this example I have already changed Break up 1 to Quoter and Break up 2 to Break up 3.
You will now have 3 new active tabs to the right of Material & other, with the headings of Break up, Quoter and Break up 3.

Open each of the break up headings to fill required options per break up. Note: No Break up "must" always be the first in the list.
Click Add, and enter the information. Then repeat the process until finished.
Complete the same process for the other 2 break ups.

In this article we will go through the setup,  creating a job and some report usage as related to breakups.

Creating Jobs

When adding a new or existing job to the appointment scheduler, after adding the client name or select the existing job you are required to select the option you want from each break up that you have activated.
Once break ups are turned on they must completed when entering the job details.

When entering a job from the Job/Quote button on the main screen. After selecting the client you add you breaks in the lower part of the page.
