Select Setup, Jobs & Rates, Client Rates
Suppose that you had an agreement with our test client "BESTY" to charge a flat rate irrespective of who went on the job and irrespective of when.
In the client column double click on the name required or just type it in the Client ID field. (Red Box)
Enter an asterisk (*) in the initials field. The asterisk means all employees. If you negotiated different rates for your different employees (say an apprentice) you would enter the initials instead of an asterisk.
Now enter the agreed rate in the Normal, Overtime and double time fields. (Green Boxes)
When you enter labour, CostManager checks to see if a special rate has been entered in the file. If it has, it uses the entered sell prices. If it has not, CostManager uses the sell rates in the employee labour rates file. If you need to delete a line simply highlight it and click on the Delete button (or click on Alt D)
You can also add in a special markup (on cost) for material in this area. In the material rate – select the required discount from the drop down list. (Blue box)
